Zumock himself "dreamt up" the show's popular song (and YouTube video) " Parma State of Mind" – both a parody of the Jay-Z/ Alicia Keys hit " Empire State of Mind" and a way of continuing the Northeast Ohio tradition of ribbing the Cleveland suburb (the choice of Parma was partly inspired by past local horror hosts Ghoulardi and Big Chuck and Lil' John). On January 5, 2010, Zumock was hired on as co-host for The Alan Cox Show, an afternoon drive time talk show hosted by radio personality Alan Cox and airing on Cleveland rock station WMMS (100.7 FM, "The Buzzard"). After LeBron James' departure the following July, Zumock appeared in a Vimeo video mocking the superstar athlete.

Īn avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan, Zumock helped produce Light It Up Like Vegas! the hour-long TV special devoted to Cleveland sports miseries aired on Fox Sports Ohio just prior to the start of the 2009–10 NBA season. Among the album's 25 tracks is a song devoted to the comic's "trademark outerwear," as Zumock is known for wearing a sweatervest virtually anywhere and at all times. In 2009, he released a self-proclaimed comedy album, Accomplishing Nothing. I always will be." After returning, Zumock contributed to the humor book Look at My Striped Shirt!: Confessions of the People You Love to Hate published by Random House in 2006. Zumock continues to perform all around the country but still represents his native Northeast Ohio: "I'm a Midwest guy. While in L.A., Zumock also served as a writer for the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner, and worked for XM Satellite Radio's National Lampoon Comedy Radio. He went on to open for several major acts, including Dave Attell, Daniel Tosh, Nick Swardson, Jeff Ross, and Sarah Silverman. In 2005, Zumock moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy.
Although no longer directly involved, Zumock has continued to work with its current members, including Last Call Cleveland founder James Renner.
Īfter college, Zumock continued his involvement with Last Call as the show itself transitioned into the sketch comedy troupe Last Call Cleveland. He also wrote a weekly column for the Daily Kent Stater, the university's student newspaper, though he admits to being "kicked off" the writing staff. While enrolled at Kent State University, Zumock was involved with Last Call – a late-night sketch comedy show airing on the student-run campus TV network, TV2. The entire top of the house is covered with terraces, used as observation decks for the residents, and as a garden for sculptures, medicinal plants and edible herbs.Chad Zumock grew up in Brady Lake, Ohio, and later Kent where he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. The areas that face the mountain have small internal patios with zenithal lighting, and use exposed reinforced concrete, which grants a striking texture to the walls. In the front part of the house, retractile panels of eucalyptus sticks protect the bedrooms from the sun. The same entrance stairs also lead to the upper volume that houses the bedrooms.

The continual internal area has a 27m span and huge glass windows to take advantage of the view of the sea. This volume contains the living room, kitchen and service area.
After stepping out onto the sand a metallic bridge positioned over a crystal-lined reflecting pool leads to a set of stairs connecting to the lower volume. Paraty House features a furniture collection showcasing 20thcentury design, including works by many well-known artists. The house finds balance in the topography of the land, creating an extensive open doorway and living space in the practically untouched nature. The building projects outward from the mountain, almost onto the beach, in an 8m cantilever.
Paraty House’s two reinforced concrete boxes, sit atop each other, connected on the mountainside of one of the islands of the colonial city of Paraty and Angra dos Reis (between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), like two modern prisms between the large colossal stones of the Brazilian coast.
